2 J’s & Sons Lawn Care Service Agreement: Official Terms
This lawn care service agreement outlines the terms for 2 J’s & Sons recurring lawn maintenance plans. The 2 J’s & Sons weekly lawn maintenance service includes up to 30 weeks of service. An optional cut can be scheduled in mid-November. The 2 J’s & Sons Bi-Weekly lawn maintenance service is scheduled for 15 weeks of service. Each scheduled visit includes professional mowing, trimming, and blowing of clippings from hard surfaces. To provide 2 J’s & Sons customers with flexibility, there is an option to skip visits. Weekly clients may skip up to two (2) visits, and Bi-Weekly clients may skip one (1) visit per season. Skips may not be consecutive, and a minimum of 24 hours’ prior notice is required. If 2 J’s & Sons does not receive a skip notification within that time frame, a skip fee will apply. The fee will be 50% of the service cost. If a customer is unsure whether a lawn needs to be cut, they can request an inspection. There is a $10 trip charge for this request.
Property Safety & Liability: Lawn Ornaments & Furniture
2 J’s & Sons crews take every precaution to operate safely around residential property. 2 J’s & Sons is NOT responsible for damage to any items left within the work zone. This includes, but is not limited to: lawn ornaments, garden gnomes, ceramic pots, holiday decorations, toys, hoses, and patio furniture.
Liability Waiver: By scheduling service, the client acknowledges this risk. The client also releases 2 J’s & Sons from all liability regarding the repair or replacement of any yard ornaments, furniture, or personal property left on the lawn. 2 J’s & Sons recommends that items be moved away from turf areas for the highest quality cut. The client is solely responsible for the safety of these items.
Scope of Agreement: Lawn Care vs. Landscape Maintenance
It is important to distinguish between the two main 2 J’s & Sons service categories. The 2 J’s & Sons Lawn Care Service Agreement specifically covers the maintenance of turf grass areas. This includes mowing, trimming, and blowing. Weeding of garden beds is not included in this agreement. Pruning of shrubs and general garden upkeep falls under a separate 2 J’s & Sons Landscape Maintenance contract. Please contact 2 J’s & Sons to add a comprehensive landscape plan for your garden beds.
Policy: Tall Grass Surcharge (8-Inch Limit)
For properties with grass exceeding 8 inches, a Tall Grass Surcharge will be applied to the service cost. Excessive grass height requires significantly more time and causes increased wear on 2 J’s & Sons commercial equipment. This fee helps cover the additional labor and resources needed to restore the lawn to a manageable condition. The surcharge amount will be communicated before service is performed.
Text Alerts & Scheduling Reminders
2 J’s & Sons utilizes a mass texting system to provide service reminders, weather cancellations (rain/drought), and holiday updates. You may opt out at any time by texting ‘STOP’. To skip or reschedule a service, simply text ‘SKIP’ to (417) 304-1318 at least 24 hours in advance to avoid the 50% skip fee.
